STATUS + REPORT: the design round, the sitemap BOM, and that there are no testers

Records what your screenshots turned up: the per-page scoping that left the tester pages unstyled, the site-wide missing base link rule (which also affected gyik/technologiak/biztonsagimentes), the sitemap BOM, and the correction that nobody is testing today so all five places are open.

## 5a. The design round (after your screenshots)
You were right on all four points, and three of them had one cause.
**`.info-card` and `.highlight-box` are scoped per page** in `site.css` — `.page-technologiak` and
`.page-biztonsagimentes`. The new pages carry `.page-teszteles`, which is not one of those scopes, so
**none of the card chrome applied**: no background, no border, no padding, no list styling. That is why
the numbered points read as a run of plain text. The tester pages now join the technologiak scope,
whose `h3` is a flex row — the right one, because these headings carry an icon.
**The link colour was a site-wide bug, not a tester-page bug.** There was **no base `a` rule at all**,
so an inline link in body copy fell through to the browser default and changed colour once visited.
`.legal` was the only place it had been fixed. `/gyik` (6 links), `/technologiak` (3) and
`/biztonsagimentes` (2) had the same defect. Fixed for all of them, scoped to text containers so it
cannot touch the nav, the footer, `.cta-button` or the 189 picture-gallery openers — checked: all 189
are outside `<p>`/`<li>` and unchanged, and `/gyik`'s links now compute to `#2EA8F5` (`--blue-bright`).
**Two smaller gaps the new pages exposed:** `code` was styled only under `.legal`, and a `<ul>` inside
an info-card was unstyled.
**Justification is the one item where „follow the other pages" and „justify the text" disagree:**
**no page on the site justifies today.** I applied it to the tester pages as you asked, with
`hyphens: auto` because Hungarian sets badly when justified without hyphenation. It is deliberately
scoped to `.page-teszteles`, so rolling it out site-wide — or dropping it — is a one-line edit. **Say
which you want**; right now the tester pages are the only justified ones, which is itself a small
inconsistency.
`site.css` → `v=10` on all 20 pages.
## 5b. The sitemap fetch failure
Your screenshot showed the freshly submitted `https://felhom.eu/sitemap.xml` as **„Sikertelen
lekérés"**, type „Ismeretlen", 0 pages — while the old `?v=2` row still reads „Sikeres", 8 pages.
**The file itself is fine:** HTTP 200, `Content-Type: application/xml`, 6854 bytes, parses, **18
`<url>` entries**. But it began with a **UTF-8 BOM** before the XML declaration, which is a known
irritant for Google's sitemap parser. **The BOM is now removed** (verified live: the response starts
`3c 3f 78` = `<?x`). No gate covers `sitemap.xml`, and the BOM rule is for `website/*.html` only, so
this changes nothing else.
**Honest caveat:** „Utoljára beolvasva" was *empty* on that row, which means Google had not yet
successfully read it — that status is often just *pending* right after a submission. So I cannot say
the BOM was the cause, only that it was a real risk and is gone. **Give it a day and re-check the
row**; if it still fails, the next thing to look at is whether Google is being served something
different from what `curl` sees.
`robots.txt` also carries a BOM. Google documents that it tolerates one there, and the site is indexed,
so I left it alone — tell me if you want it stripped too.
## 6. Commits, gates, register

@@ -14,6 +14,9 @@
- **Search Console:** all seven „not indexed" pages now have a verdict. Four are correct by design, two are waiting in Google's queue, and **one was our fault** — the contact form's address was being crawled as if it were a page, which is fixed. **Three clicks are waiting for you** (remove the old sitemap entry, submit the clean one, ask for indexing on three pages); the exact steps are in `documentation/audits/seo-2026-10-10/not-indexed.md`.
- **The honest headline on search:** in three months the site had **47 appearances and 0 clicks**, at average position 73. Search will not bring the first testers. People will — so there is now an outreach kit (`marketing/testers/OUTREACH.md`) with messages you send yourself and a checked list of where posting is actually allowed.
- **One new item (R-929):** the app count disagrees with itself — the website says 58, the apps page draws 59 cards, the catalog has 60 templates. Not fixed here; the posts say 58, matching the website.
- **Later the same evening, after your screenshots.** The tester page had **no styling at all** on its sections: the card design in the stylesheet is written per page, and the new page was not on that list. Fixed, and three further gaps came out with it — inline links in body text had never been given a colour anywhere on the site, so they used the browser's default and went purple once visited (this also affected the GYIK, Technológiák and Mentések pages); inline code and bullet lists inside a card were unstyled too. The text on the tester pages is now justified, as you asked — **note that no other page is**, so say the word and I will either roll it out everywhere or take it off.
- **The sitemap you submitted showed „Sikertelen lekérés”.** The file is valid and serves correctly (18 pages), but it started with an invisible marker byte that Google's reader is known to trip on; that is removed. The row had never actually been read yet, so this may also have been simple pending status — **re-check the row tomorrow.**
- **Corrected a false claim on the live page.** It said some tester places were already taken. They are not: Tester 1 is a disposable virtual box and Tester 2 is a friend whose machine is not built yet and is switched off. The page now says the test is starting and **all 5 places are open**, and the outreach kit asks for five people rather than three. No scheduled post claimed otherwise, so none needed editing.
