From d5f00b7115691efdda74d6f4f9f1c78dffdc1e33 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: kisfenyo Date: Sun, 11 Oct 2026 13:38:06 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] context: operator ruling 2026-10-11 - none of the three directions; M3 follows Recorded in CONTEXT.md as a dated ruling and at the top of the comparison. Nothing deleted: /preview/, /preview/m1/ and /preview/m2/ all stay up, hidden, so the next direction can be compared against them. Nothing built: SHARED-DESIGN.md recommended the canonical-stylesheet-plus-gate mechanism only once a direction exists, and none does, so it stays unbuilt. The measured case for a mechanism rather than a convention survives the ruling and is kept in the audit folder: a component copy between the repos silently dropped a bare body rule and broke the phone layout in four measurable ways. --- CONTEXT.md | 14 ++++++++++++++ documentation/audits/mockups-2026-10-11/COMPARE.md | 5 +++++ 2 files changed, 19 insertions(+) diff --git a/CONTEXT.md b/CONTEXT.md index 3abb2ca3..74f6e5b6 100644 --- a/CONTEXT.md +++ b/CONTEXT.md @@ -16,6 +16,20 @@ > and holds nothing of its own; this file does hold its own content, namely the standing rulings below. +> **2026-10-11 — the website's direction is NOT yet decided; a third mockup (M3) follows (operator ruling, this day).** +> Three directions were built and measured, and the operator chose **none of them**: a new direction, M3, will be +> briefed separately. **Nothing was deleted** — all three stay up, hidden, so M3 can be compared against them: +> `/preview/` (the 2026-10-10 redesign), `/preview/m1/` (the website wearing the controller's dashboard shell) and +> `/preview/m2/` (a short front page with a clickable launcher in a window).
