Use my kept data / Load consider the off-site snapshot when it is newer than every local copy or
the only one; the unit is downloaded alone, judged (drive, data, recorded data version) and only
then restored. The page names the copy and its date.

The unit's data files are stamped with the versions that wrote them; the capture keeps the
definition the data belongs to; a restore never starts data under another version's
definition (unit restores refuse a mismatch; the off-site restore writes the snapshot's
definition); every tier's time is its data's; the conversion-copy release needs a dump on
the new engine. File-browser sync single-flight + no empty kept folder (R-695); the kept
view joins the folder's owning group, language switch resyncs (R-691); a restore-generated
login is not shown as the password (R-694). Red-proofs in

An install over an app's kept drive folder (appdata/<app> non-empty) asks the household:
"use my kept data" (a load from the newest copy of THIS drive's install, own unit or
second-drive mirror, then the template's after_load) or "start fresh" (the folder is
renamed into <drive>/kept/<app>/<date>/ with the removed app's unit; nothing deleted).
The install API answers 409 kept_data_choice until one is chosen; DeployStack refuses
too. New page Megorzott adatok / Kept data (/kept-data): Load / Look / Delete (typed
confirmation, the only deletion of kept data). FileBrowser gets a read-only source.
The drive-full warning names the kept folders. <drive>/kept is protected and outside
every backup leg.
R-690: the removed-app restore (R-487) never found a unit on a DATA drive — it asked
GetStackComposePath (true for every catalog app) and restored nextcloud with no env.
Now isStackDeployed; pinned with a production-shaped provider.

A step whose ladder entry carries engine_conversion {service, engine, from, to}
converts the database: the old engine alone, the check (owners, roles,
extensions, per-table row counts), pg_dumpall validated by its completion line,
the volume emptied only after the undo copy's marker is validated again, the new
engine alone, the load with ON_ERROR_STOP, the check again + PG_VERSION. Any
failure goes to the existing undo; a restart during converting is undone.
A PostgreSQL major move without the mark is refused before anything moves.
The old datadir's copy is kept until a backup is proven after the conversion.

The guarded update gains a folder copy of the app's named volumes, taken
after the pull where the app stops anyway (decision 19, chosen by the
2026-09-23 bake-off). On a failed health check the box undoes: every copy
validated by its finished-marker first, volumes refilled, definition and pin
from the job's own pre-update copies, the old version checked with the OLD
.felhom.yml probe. It holds only if the undo fails, and the hold sentence
says so and what state the data is in. Bind-mounted folders are never
touched.
- R-637 built; R-638/R-640/R-641 do not arise with a folder copy; R-639
(pre-update copies incl. .felhom.yml kept until the undo is over).
- journal phases copying/undoing with power-cut recovery.
- app.yaml last_update_undone + one line on the app page (hu/en).
- R-642: start/restart never answer "completed".
- Removal deletes kept undo copies.

R-630 (P1): waitUpdateHealthy kept the probe inside `if hc != nil && len(hc.Checks) > 0`, and when
findProbeContainer returned "" its else set last="no probe container" and LOOPED - the settle path
sat in the outer else, unreachable. So verifying could only time out and failAndHold then stopped a
working app. Measured on paperless-ngx: three containers healthy, failed at +313.0s, front door 404
after. It now falls through to the same settle path with a WARN naming the candidates.
The probe target is decidable now: HealthCheckConfig.Container plus findProbeContainerMeta resolve
by exact stack name -> explicit container -> a UNIQUE prefix -> nothing with the candidates
returned. The old rule took the FIRST prefix match. A skipped stack records why instead of silence.
R-634 (half): RemoveStack refused on the !Deployed FLAG while the machine had containers, a compose
file and an app.yaml. It now asks whether anything EXISTS. The mechanism producing the bad record is
still not diagnosed and R-634 stays open for it.
R-633/R-626: RemoveStack consults UpdateGuards.Busy and IsUpdating and refuses with the app's own
sentence - the product already refused this clash for update and for restore. And because `down`
returning 0 is a request not a result, the project is watched for 25s afterwards, anything carrying
its label is removed by name with its labels logged, and the answer carries `verified`.
R-621: failAndHold writes compose logs --tail 400 into <stackdir>/hold-logs/<ts>/ BEFORE the down
that destroys them. Two existing tests pin the compose sequence and correctly caught the new step;
their expectations are updated with the reason that the ORDER is the assertion.
R-614: RemoveStack calls ClearUpdateState.
NOT in this release: R-625 (a held app still renders an Update button). Named, not half-done.
Three new sentences, each born as a key in both bundles. Four red-proofs seen failing.

The controller self-updates daily at 04:30 by default, and after any hub report
once a floor sits above the box. That swap restarts the controller container.
The window proposed for automatic app updates is 02:30-05:00. It contains 04:30.
R-608 — a two-way lock, wired in main.go (stacks never imports selfupdate):
- stacks.Manager.AnyUpdating() -> Updater.SetAppUpdatingCheck, consulted in the
same three places as the existing backupRunning gate.
- Updater.IsUpdateRunning -> Manager.SetSelfUpdatingCheck; UpdatePreflight
refuses `self_updating`.
- MEASURED: the gap was narrower than assumed. The update's `backing-up` phase
already takes the backup single-flight, so that one phase was covered. The
other six were not, and `starting`/`verifying` are where data may have moved.
- The lock must NOT latch: a held app does not block the controller's own
updates, including the release that might fix the hold.
R-609 — the 409 carries `data.reason`, additively. transient (busy, updating,
deploying, migrating, self_updating) vs terminal (held, downgrade). Found while
writing the test: the router refuses a HELD app on its own line before the
preflight, so `held` would have been the one reason missing.
Five red-proofs, each seen to fail.

MEASURED 2026-09-15 (BIGNIGHT Phase 6): privatebin updated 2.0.5 -> 2.0.6, catalog
reverted to 2.0.5, and the box read „Frissítés elérhető — ma" over an Update that
would have moved the pin BACKWARDS onto a possibly-migrated datadir.
- stacks.CatalogOrder: the comparison gains a fourth answer (Ahead) and moves out of
web, so the badge and UpdatePreflight cannot drift apart.
- The badge: ahead reads „Naprakész"/"Up to date", tag-ok, with a title saying why.
- The refusal: UpdatePreflight returns `downgrade` (409), born as a bundle key; the
API now renders update refusals through errText so it reaches English households.
- Ahead is narrow: every differing service must be orderable AND newer, else Behind.
- Ordering is util.Version.Compare behind a tag normaliser — no second comparator.
- Three red-proofs, each seen to fail.
R-589 was already fixed in v0.258.0; only its register row was stale.

The 2026-09-20 English drill ended one screen short: the claim page was English
and its answers were Hungarian, so a household who mistyped the code from their
e-mail could not tell a typo from a dead code. Fourteen call sites carrying nine
messages now go through s.msg; the backup page's two protection warnings — which
are promises about whether the customer's files are safe — follow the same route.
Hungarian is byte-identical, proved structurally by the go-parity gate against the
frozen base capture and red-proofed on a single added full stop.
data["Title"] was DEAD (claim.html is standalone; .Title is layout.html's) and is
deleted rather than translated — a translated dead field is a permanent false
signal about where the page's title comes from.
Six existing copy-contract tests were kept, not weakened: each now resolves its key
through the real bundle, so it still convicts on a reworded Hungarian sentence.

R-589 the update badge, R-590 the data-folder backup sentence, R-573 the two channel
banners, R-572 two dead helpers. All four were built in Go, which is why neither the
template parity fixtures nor TestI18nEnglishPages could see them; slice 5's LIVE proof
is what found them.
R-590 is the one that matters most: it is a promise about the customer's files. It
said, in Hungarian and under an already-English folder label, that a drop-zone is
temporary and unbacked. The test now asserts the CONSEQUENCE in both languages — and
that the two languages do not produce the same string, which would mean the English
fell back.
R-572 is not what its row said. The row claimed a template renders "vasárnap" on an
English page; measured, NO template and no Go file called pruneLabel or
nextPruneLabel. They were dead func-map entries returning Hungarian, so they are
deleted rather than translated — translating dead code would add machinery with no
reader and a test pinning a fiction. Deletion is fail-loud and that was proven: a
template naming the removed function panics loadTemplates at startup.
Five red-proofs. One of them says something about the gate rather than the code: the
Go-parity gate does not measure localeFuncs keys against the base capture, so the
citation to TestLocaleFuncsHungarianBundleMatchesFuncMap is what carries them — the
test was extended to make that citation true.

MinAgent: 0.131.0 (unchanged). Needs hub v0.118.0+, which shipped first and
tolerates a box that sends none of this - every box in the fleet is that box
until this release reaches it.
The hub writes a household's e-mails in their language now, but about a third
of those mails carry a sentence the BOX composed, naming a drive, an app or a
number. The hub cannot translate one. So the box sends it twice.
- message_customer on POST /api/v1/event, omitempty. A HUNGARIAN household
sends nothing extra at all, so its payload stays byte-for-byte what every box
sends today and the hub's fallback path keeps being the one production
exercises rather than a branch nobody takes.
- 19 producers render both sentences from ONE bundle key. `message` stays
Hungarian always: it is what the operator is mailed and what the hub logs.
- customer.language bootstraps a new box - stored choice, then config, then
Hungarian. The config value is NEVER written into settings.json: that would
record a choice the household never made.
The Hungarian did not move, measured twice: the wire golden from the slice-2
base commit, and the Go parity gate over all 19 new keys.
Three guards had to learn the change and one caught me: the test seam now
carries the new field; the R-329 severity register reported two dynamic sites
as no longer existing the moment they moved off PushEvent (the walk now checks
36 severity literals, up from 20); and TestConfigLanguageIsWiredInMain reads
main.go, because cmd/ is gitignored and ripgrep does not.
A mistake, named: the first pass dropped displayName from three producers,
which would have mailed customers "Alkalmazás telepítve: %!s(MISSING)". Caught
reading the diff; now pinned by a test that refuses %!/MISSING/%s/%d in either
language.

The notes a background run SAVES — last night's backup line, the last error, the proof
result, the restore outcome — are written in the BOX's language at the moment they are
written. A household that switches sees the previous run's note in the old language until
the next run rewrites it: the operator's §16 option 1, stated rather than hidden.
EndRestoreOp no longer receives a Hungarian literal from anywhere.
The language switch is a globe. Two text links wrapped in the sidebar footer and asked the
reader to recognise "Magyar"/"English" as links; a globe is the one symbol every web user
already reads as "language", so nobody has to read Hungarian to escape Hungarian. It is
<details>/<summary> — a menu with no script, drawn inline because the icon sprite lives
only in layout.html and the visitor pages have their own shell.
Those visitor pages get the same globe, and a visitor's choice stays theirs: a display-only
felhom_lang cookie that langFor reads ONLY when there is no session. A signed-in household
can never inherit a language a previous visitor picked in the same browser. POST /lang is
CSRF-exempt for a narrow reason written at the exemption — its only achievable effect is the
language of the page the victim's own browser shows them — and safeBackPath refuses
//evil.example as well as https://, because "starts with /" alone is not the test. §16 taken:
a successful claim carries the cookie into the household's setting.
TWO PARITY EXCEPTIONS, MEASURED: 106 fixtures compared with a real diff — exactly two change
shapes (the dashboard footer, the globe in the shells) and 5 byte-identical, which are the
three pages that must not change.
I INTRODUCED A DEADLOCK AND THE SUITE CAUGHT IT BY HANGING. UpdateOffboxStatus holds the
settings write lock while running its callback; boxLang() wants the read lock; sync.RWMutex
is not reentrant. On a real box an off-site run would have hung forever HOLDING the settings
lock. Fixed by resolving the language before the callback, and guarded by a test that names
the file and line in a second instead of hanging for 25 minutes.

179 Hungarian sentences were built deep inside a package with fmt.Errorf and printed by
whoever caught them: too late to translate where they are shown, too early where they are
made. Every one now carries its key across that gap. ZERO Hungarian error literals remain.
util.MsgError does three things at once, each earned:
- Error() is the Hungarian, byte for byte, so every un-converted printer is unchanged;
- errors.Is answers for the kind AND for a wrapped cause (KindErrorf dropped the cause);
- an error ARGUMENT renders recursively, so "formázás sikertelen: %w" translates whole.
A foreign error — restic, docker, ssh, the stdlib — prints verbatim. It is not ours.
76 display sites go through errText, and TestNoErrErrorInPageOutput convicts any that do
not. memoryVerdict returns an error rather than a sentence, so the deploy's 409 and the
household's language come from one value; UpdateRefusal gained a Cause to carry it.
Plurals, one rule, stated once: a key with .one/.other takes its COUNT first. Not a
per-call-site flag — the producer somebody forgot would read "3 app is not running". The
guard caught a real key collision (alert.deadapp.one) the day the rule landed.
TWO DEFECTS FOUND IN MY OWN TOOLING, recorded rather than quietly fixed. The bulk converter
silently dropped multi-line concatenations, damaging 7 producers — and the parity gate could
not see it, because every surviving fragment WAS a real base literal while the CALL had lost
text; two behaviour tests caught it. And the counting script was case-sensitive, so it said
"0 left" while five remained.

Slice 1 translated the dashboard's markup. The sentences the program BUILDS were still
Hungarian literals in Go, so an English household clicked an English button and was
answered in Hungarian. 226 of them move into the bundle here.
A flash was the hard part: it travels inside the redirect URL and is rendered by a
DIFFERENT request, so it now carries a bundle key plus its parameters. A link minted by
an older controller carries prose and is shown verbatim — never a raw key, never dropped.
Also converted: page data and view-model text, the internal/api JSON answers, the alert
banners (Alert.MessageKey, rendered on the way out of GetAlerts), 237 country names at
display, and the four page titles built around an app name (R-566 closed).
Hungarian is byte-identical, and that is measured rather than read:
scripts/i18n_go_parity.py freezes every Go literal at the base commit (7 467) and refuses
a key whose Hungarian is not that text, byte for byte. Three decoys, each seen to convict.
Its own first version filtered the capture through an ASCII-Hungarian word list and missed
seven real literals — the R-565 class. The filter is gone.
Nothing on the wire moved, and wire goldens now hold it there: the report's health
warnings and every notify event message stay Hungarian, because the hub MAILS the
controller's sentence when it has no entry of its own. Slice 3 (R-558) owns those.

Six ASCII-only Hungarian JS fragments the extractor missed were found by eye and converted by hand

R-487: the local backup lists are keyed on the drives, not on what is
deployed — a removed app whose unit was kept is listed with the restore
that reinstalls it, the picker answers for it, and the restore opens the
unit where it sits. R-491: a removal clears the app's update hold.
R-490: /api/system/info reaches the API router and reads the default
storage path. R-489: volumes_removed is the real before/after difference,
[] when none. R-476: a Tier-2 copy is dated by its data, not its manifest.
R-456: the boot-orphan rule is pinned. Every fix red-proofed.
From hub v0.112.0 a floor above the golden is served only with a declared
MinAgent, read from this CHANGELOG's newest `## vX.Y.Z` header. New fast,
blocking gate minagent_header_gate.py: that block must contain a line
starting `**MinAgent: X.Y.Z**`; prose, a code span or a non-bold mention
does not count (decoy test; red-proof F: relaxing the match to a body
mention fails test_decoy_body_mention_is_not_the_line).
Backfill: v0.233.0, v0.234.0, v0.235.0 and v0.236.0 carried no MinAgent
line. Each now reads `**MinAgent: 0.129.0** (unchanged)`, the value of the
nearest earlier header (v0.232.0). Proof it did not move: zero commits
under controller/internal/agentapi since 2026-09-01 (last: bb50e12,
2026-08-14), and the highest featureMinAgent entry is 0.129.0.
Every gate was DECOYED - the label constructed without the fact, the gate run, the verdict recorded.
No verdict here was reached by reading, because reading is exactly how the five prior instances hid.
SCOPE IS A FACT TOO, and it was the big one. Six gates decided what to look at with os.listdir - one
directory level. Every one was green AND CORRECT, because no template subdirectory exists today; every
one would have gone blind the moment anyone added templates/partials/, which is an ordinary act. A
single planted file carrying an emoji, a native confirm(), hand-rolled row markup, a dangling JS id
reference, a templated secret and an unregistered retrieval promise passed all six.
THE CONTROL IS WHAT MAKES THAT A MEASUREMENT: mojibake and docker-v already used os.walk, saw the
identical planted file, and convicted. So the cause was the listing, not the decoy.
COMMENTS ARE NOT CODE, AND COMMENTS ARE NOT CONTROLS. debug-routes matched `case subpath == "x"` in
raw text, so a case left in a commented-out block counted as a live handler - which is R-400's
original defect (seven dead controls on the page an operator opens when something is already wrong)
reached through the one door its own gate could not see. app-row-dedup's MUST_USE check had the same
shape: a commented-out {{template "app_list_row"}} satisfied it.
Stripping is deliberately crude in debug_route_gate, and that is correct there: its own docstring
insists on ten lines that cannot rot. A // inside a string literal truncates that line, which can
only ever HIDE a reference, never invent one - it fails in the safe direction.
NOT FIXED, and left open with its decoy rather than quietly patched: R-425, offbox-rename scans a
fixed three-entry FILES list, so banned NAS branding in a NEW offbox template passes. The scope was
correct when written and silently narrows every time the feature grows a file.
test_gate_decoys.py holds 10 decoys and declares COVERS, which felhom.eu's new decoy-coverage gate
AST-parses - a substring search for coverage would be the very shape this sweep exists to find.
No Go code. No version bump. No image. No golden owed.
Survey: felhom.eu/documentation/audits/AUDIT-gate-decoys-2026-09-01.md
No version heading on purpose. No Go code, no image, no version bump; giving this one would create
the exact golden debt the change is about.
Until today this repo - where a release actually happens - had NO golden-currency check at all,
while felhom.eu ran one on every push including documents-only ones that can neither create the
debt nor clear it. The person who could act heard nothing; the person who could not act was
blocked, thirteen --no-verify uses' worth.
golden_notice.py is ADVISORY IN EVERY CASE, and that is the only correct behaviour rather than
timidity: at the moment a release is committed the golden legitimately does not exist yet, so
blocking there would refuse the commit that STARTS the process - and blocking later is the mistake
being undone.
NO SECOND IMPLEMENTATION: it IMPORTS felhom.eu/scripts/golden_currency_gate.py and calls that
gate's own released_versions()/newest_baked(), so it is the same comparison read in the other
direction. Cross-repo shape copied from instructions_gate.py; never a copy of the script, because a
copy recreates the drift these gates exist to detect. An absent sibling clone is INCONCLUSIVE and
silent about currency - it never guesses.
controller_gates.py GAINED A FIFTH `blocking` FIELD. It could not express a reporting-only gate at
all before: every registered gate's non-zero exit failed the run, so the only way to add a notice
was to give it the power to refuse a push. The capability was added rather than the notice
compromised (R-420). False for exactly one gate, and test_golden_notice.py asserts it stays one.
Tests N1-N4 with a positive control that every other gate is still blocking. RED-PROOF RUN: making
the debt branch return 1 fails N1 - in production that would refuse the commit that starts a
release.
R-399: monitoring.integrity.read_data_subset defaults to 100%. A pack damaged
without changing its size made plain `restic check` report "no errors were found"
on demo-hp 2026-08-30; every read-data form caught it. Cost on that 134 MB store:
35.0s structure vs 39.2s at 100%. "off" (any case) is the off token; empty means
not-configured, therefore the default; a malformed value falls back to the DEFAULT,
never to structure. A completed check over 5 minutes logs a WARN naming the
duration, the depth and R-401 — operator log only, no hub event, no depth change.
The depth is now recorded with the verdict (LastIntegrityDepth; empty = NOT
RECORDED, never "structure").
R-400: 24 debug-page references, 17 dispatched, 7 dead — three of which fetched on
page LOAD, so those panels were permanently blank. backup/crossdrive implemented;
backup/infra, hub/infra-push, dr/infra-status, storage/watchdog-status and both
storage/simulate-* deleted with their panels and JavaScript.
scripts/debug_route_gate.py fails in both directions and is registered after the
seven were resolved. 18 referenced, 18 dispatched, none orphaned.
Corrections: the dead-field warning in report/types.go said the controller runs no
integrity check and the notifiers are called from nowhere — both false since
v0.227.0. controller.yaml.example gains its missing integrity: block.
integrityCheckTimeout's "ships OFF" comment rewritten.
The shared gate lives in felhom.eu/scripts/observations_gate.py and is invoked
across the workspace, exactly as reuse_refs_check.py and instructions_gate.py
already are. It is never copied.
REPORT.md's observations now carry their markers. Item 1 was the finding that
had no register row - only the first broken app per hour reaches the operator -
and it is now R-389. Item 4, the golden-bake runbook's missing `pveam update`,
is R-390. Items 3 and 5 are declared NOT-A-FINDING with their reasons. The
observations' text itself is unchanged; only the markers were added.
MinAgent: 0.129.0
What was already right: the screen did not bluntly accuse. R-222/R-226 hedged,
naming both causes and the kept package, and saying it could not tell them apart.
That was honest - and it could not tell them apart because nothing ever looked.
Agent v0.129.0 looks, so the hedge becomes an answer.
New class RecoveryCodeOpensRetained on HTTP 422, gated by
FeatureRetainedRecoveryClass (MinAgent 0.129.0). The gate is SEPARATE from the
R-224 one because the two name different agent versions and a box can sit between
them, where a 422 is a shape we did not design. ClassifyRecoveryFailure therefore
takes both flags; the compiler found every call site.
The message says the code is correct, names the supersession date, says the
earlier package is kept, and says the CURRENT backups are unaffected - the half a
customer will otherwise assume wrong. It promises NO restore: there is no
in-product route to a set-aside store (R-312) and the retained package may itself
predate the repository-password field. It routes to support, which can do it.
The claim guard grew a surface and immediately convicted something. It scanned
templates only, while every recovery message is a Go string in a handler - the
highest-stakes copy in the product, never scanned. It now scans recovery_handlers.go
too, and found a PRE-EXISTING unregistered claim on its first run.
Six handler tests asserting which SENTENCE the customer sees; red-proofs asserted
applied, including: 422 unconditional makes an agent that never looked read as
having looked, and routing 400 to the new class congratulates a mistype.
The retrieval clause rendered unconditionally on every page and is false on a
reachable state - the same screen where the orphan card says we cannot tell.
The condition is a fingerprint PINNED at the decision, not a comparison against
the current key. The obvious proxy asks about the wrong key: the set-aside
copies were written under an older key the box no longer has, so on a
twice-rebuilt box the proxy promises about copies nothing can open. Demonstrated
- under the proxy, the replaced-package and legacy cases both flip back to
promising.
The pin is a recorded assumption and says so: nothing on the box records which
key wrote those copies. Empty is not a match. A countdown started before this
carries no pin and takes the cautious branch, not a backfill.
A sweep of all 36 templates found a fourth instance (backups page, same
condition applied) and a fifth (the confirmation screen, correctly left alone -
true at the moment of the decision).
New retrieval_promise_gate registers each claim with a reason rather than
banning a verb: a string ban failed twice, and the honest replacement copy
contains the stem.
The orphan card told a customer their set-aside off-site history may be
restorable later with their recovery code. The discriminator lives on the hub
and no wire field carries it, so the box rendering that card cannot evaluate the
promise. Copy replaced per the spec: state what happens, decline what we cannot
know and say why, name a route.
The claim page called the same three-word dashboard code two different names
depending on branch, one of which collides with the ten-word escrow code.
Retired 'Visszaallito kod'; the name is now constant and the sentence changes.
Naming only - a test pins that a reset code is still accepted.
secret_in_markup_gate no longer convicts Go template comments, which are
stripped before render; still convicts a real rendered secret.
Site one. app_info.html rendered {{.InitialCreds.Password}} into a hidden span —
a REAL per-install credential, read live out of the running container, in the
response body of every render. The page now carries the non-secret half plus a
boolean; the value comes from POST /apps/<slug>/initial-credentials/reveal, which
RE-READS the container rather than serving a cached copy (caching it in the
handler would put it back in the body one layer in). no-store, CSRF-covered,
logged as an act. Both buttons go through it. A reveal that cannot read the value
SAYS SO rather than returning an empty string that renders as a blank password.
Site two, established before changing. The hidden input is NOT the defect and was
left alone: it fires only pre-deploy, and README §318 documents why the value must
round-trip — the customer notes the generated secrets down and submitting them
back is what makes the saved value the same one they saw. The defect was the
neighbouring READONLY input, which on an ALREADY-DEPLOYED app rendered the secret
into a page with nothing to submit. Fixed by POST /stacks/<name>/auto-field/reveal,
authorised by requiring a type:secret auto-field of that stack. Both directions
pinned.
The premise that this contradicted a repo rule does not hold: the rule is
CONTEXT.md:2070 'Password fields require explicit input — prevents accidental
empty-password deployments', about EMPTINESS. No line in the repo says 'no silent
auto-fill'.
The gate. scripts/secret_in_markup_gate.py, registered in controller_gates.py,
convicts any template expression that names a secret unless allowlisted with a
reason. Its limits are MEASURED and in its docstring: it catches a launder through
a local variable (the assignment names the secret) but is blind to a secret
arriving under a neutral page-data key — verified both ways. That is the shape of
site two, which this gate would NOT have caught. The runtime body assertion covers
all shapes but only 4 of 27 page templates; the other 23 are R-255, filed rather
than glossed. Two nets, different holes, both named.
Correction to v0.207.0's report: HTML comments do NOT ship in the response body
here — html/template strips them, text/template does not. Measured. A red-proof
planting a secret in a comment therefore correctly does not fail.
215 lines -> 110 (92 effective; block-level HTML comments are stripped before
injection and never reach the model, verified empirically on Claude Code 2.1.222
with a control and a treatment run).
Four new .claude/rules/*.md, each with a paths: glob list so it loads only when a
matching file is read: gates, ui-hungarian, backup-paths, agent-coupling.
The ## Layout tree was deleted as derivable; REUSE.md already owns the per-package
seams its annotations stood in for. The host/access table was deleted in favour of
a pointer to documentation/operations/nodes.md -- it carried three defects at once:
demo-felhom given as the LAN fallback address as if it were the route, a pinned
"agent 0.93.0" against the project's own no-versions-in-docs rule, and the claim
that no drill VM was provisioned on demo-hp. Measured live: qm list shows VM 300
drill-r50. felhom-agent/CLAUDE.md was right; this file was wrong.
Kept verbatim: the seven session-critical invariants, the F9 live-validation fence,
the end-of-session checklist.
controller_gates.py registers the shared instructions gate (felhom.eu/scripts/,
never copied here; an absent sibling clone FAILS).
Docs only -- no Go, no version bump, no image, no deploy.

A census of all thirteen gate scripts across the four felhom repos on 2026-08-02 found that
every check a CLAUDE.md names was passing and two of the four nobody is told to run were
failing. This repo had seven gates and CLAUDE.md named two; four more were reachable only via
a line in REUSE.md, and docker_run_volume_path_gate.py — RED at census time — through one line
in REUSE.md and nothing else.
controller_gates.py runs all seven plus reuse_refs_check on the repo root, streams each gate's
own output, and exits worst-wins non-zero. The shared reuse checker stays in felhom.eu/scripts/
and is invoked across the workspace — never copied here, which would recreate the drift it
detects; an absent sibling clone FAILS the gate and prints the path tried.
.githooks/pre-push runs it with --fast and refuses the push. Per-clone and --no-verify-able,
both stated in the hook itself; a manual run WARNS when the clone is unarmed.
test_controller_gates.py is a SEAM test — it asserts each member gate's own distinctive stdout,
not the runner's summary line. Red-proofed: an inert run_gate still prints 'all controller
gates OK' and exits 0, and turns the seam test red.
Tooling only: no Go change, no image build, no deploy, no version bump.
realVolumeSize mounts the NAMED VOLUME read-only into a throwaway alpine to du it
from a container view. No host path is involved — docker resolves the volume name
daemon-side — so it is the same safe class as the internal/backup/backup.go entry.
The gate was right to demand review; this diff is that review, on its own, because
burying an allowlist widening inside a feature commit is how an allowlist stops
meaning anything.
Tooling only: no Go change, no build, no deploy, no version bump.
Own pinned alpine image (3.21@sha256:48b0309c) + smbd/nmbd/wsdd/tini. Dumb by
design: smb.conf bind-mounted read-only, no baked name/password, passdb on a
volume. Three-daemon stack per the R-6 spike verdict (nmbd required alongside
wsdd, else Explorer double-click 0x80070035). build-samba-image.sh helper.
- scans all templates + Go sources (291 files) for the double-encoding signature chars
(Ã Â Ă ă ˘ ˇ) + strict-UTF-8 decode; allowlist ZERO by design; Python per the
multibyte rule (this task exists partly because of a bash-era mojibake sweep)
- byte-level sweep result: the committed source contains NO mojibake — the 'Tárhely'-class
text on the live import page is the felhom-usb DRIVE-LABEL DATA (settings.json on the
demo box; default-label pattern settings.go GenerateLabel), repaired via the label-edit
UI in the live-validation step, not by code
- red-proven: reintroduced 'Tárhely' into app_import.html → exit 1 naming file:line; reverted → 0
