The self-serve decommission already dropped the drive from the guest-bind record; the operator-signed one did
not, so a forgotten drive left a record the 20-second re-assert warned about forever ("skipping non-enrolled
drive"). DecommissionExecutor.SetGuestBinds; red-proved. Code only; the CHANGELOG follows the release (0.159.1).

R-1124: ForgetRetiredDrives (start-up + the 20 s tick) disables and removes the host mount unit of a
DECOMMISSIONED drive whose disk is absent and unmounted; the agent then no longer lists it. A present
decommissioned drive keeps its unit (one-click re-enroll). The file goes only through the new
felhom-priv-apply verb `unit-forget`, which re-checks marker, disabled, unmounted and absent as root.
R-1012: the read-only root helper felhom-thin-check <vg> <pool> (bundle) lists the pool's thin ids
(metadata snapshot reserved and released) next to LVM's before and after. BackupRunner.SetThinCheck runs
it before a snapshot-mode backup (log) and again after a failure, appending the finding in plain words to
the error the controller mails to the operator. Two reads, intersected; fails open; never removes.
Red-proofs: felhom.eu audits/agent-allowlist-rotation-2026-10-17/P1/. Code only; the CHANGELOG entry
follows the release.

- felhom-mkfs-guarded: the 0.158.0 exemption for a sibling part mounted at /mnt/<name> + under /mnt/felhom-drives is
removed — the agent can make that corroborating mount itself. Every mount of every node outside /mnt/felhom-drives
refuses (kernel mount table); an unlistable disk refuses. CandidatePartition.Formattable is false for every part of a
disk with a mounted node, so it is never offered for formatting (attach still is).
- felhom-internal-place: a failed lvs listing, a listing without the pool, or a blkid exit other than 0/2 refuses
(they read as "nothing promised" / "no signature" before).
Every new test was seen failing against the 0.158.0 versions.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_012qRErfCoiTkvDK9N5XHbzb
- internal place: the record /var/lib/felhom-agent/internal-place.json -> mounted at /mnt/belso by fs-UUID like an
enrolled drive (startup + 20 s tick), kind "internal" in GET /disks; never takes a household drive's /mnt/belso;
eject/decommission/format refused (dm on the system disk).
- configs/felhom-internal-place: the ruled size rule and the only lvcreate/mkfs of a system-disk volume (installer +
the new signed op add_internal_place, operator key, no parameters).
- partitions listed per free disk (empty / filesystem / in_use); a data-bearing part's wipe id binds disk id + part
number + fs-UUID.
- felhom-mkfs-guarded: Felhom's own sibling drive no longer blocks formatting the free part; an unlistable disk refuses.
Tests red-proved (script mutations, Go mutations, the old wrapper measured against the new tests).

The agent names the physical disk(s) under each storage place from /sys, udev and /proc/mounts only
(partition -> disk, dm/LVM thin -> slaves, loop -> backing file), keys them (eui / serial:<bus>:<model>
:<serial> / vendor WWN) and says proven or unknown (vm, network, usb_bridge, weak_wwn, no_serial).
GET /disks and the hub report's storage_targets gain kind, physical_disks, identity,
identity_reason (golden updated; the hub copy changes in the same session). POST /disks/same-disk
maps two guest paths to places the agent itself made and answers {different, proven, reason};
an absent drive is unmapped, never the root disk. Tests on fixture trees for every spike case,
red-proofed. CHANGELOG entry follows the release (release-complete gate).

Security review of c6d9435: the other-guests check ran only at acceptance. waitJobsClear now
looks again before each step and CANCELS at once when another guest or VM runs (gate released).
Red-proofed. Also: go test -race found a data race in the escrow ceremony start reply (reads
job.Phase while the job goroutine writes it) — the reply fields are copied before the goroutine
starts; -race was red before, green 3/3 after.
Security review of f38b03c: a controller update, drive/NAS job, escrow ceremony or Proxmox
vzdump could start between acceptance and the power-off (the heavy gate does not cover them).
runHostPowerOff now asks jobBlocker again before the guest shutdown and before the host
power-off, waits up to 15 min, and CANCELS (gate released, box stays on) if still busy.
Red-proofed: no wait, and a gate kept after a cancel, each convicted.
Security review of 3403c87: (1) any guest's controller could switch off a shared host — demo-hp
runs a scratch guest and the Tester 1 VM. Now refused (other_guests_running) when /proc shows any
other lxc-start -n N or kvm -id N; an unreadable /proc refuses. (2) the checks ran once, so a
backup could start before the power-off: the heavy-operation gate is now taken on acceptance and
kept (released only if the power-off command fails). (3) an unwired gate or task reader refused
nothing; now refuses. Each red-proofed.
The guest's controller asks; the agent refuses in the first 10 min after boot, a second time in
one boot (persisted, keyed by /proc/stat btime), and while a backup, restore test, OS step,
controller update, drive format, NAS verify, escrow ceremony or vzdump runs (each a named 409
reason). On acceptance: the record first, a host report carrying deliberate_off accepted by the
hub (bounded 60 s), then pct shutdown --timeout 120, then systemctl poweroff.
Sudoers: two exact vectors (pct ^shutdown N --timeout N$, systemctl poweroff) in FELHOM_POWEROFF;
nine injection cases. New TestEveryAliasIsGranted: a defined alias missing from the grant line
passed the coverage check before. Every new test red-proofed.
Found in the 2026-10-09 kernel-night read-back:
- demo-felhom: the kernel step restarted the host 4 minutes after the night
backup; the in-memory backup list was empty after the restart, so the hub
alarmed "host tier: newest backup is 48h old". The report now adds R-894's
saved newest success per tier (one shared instance).
- demo-hp: proxmox-secure-boot-support pulled shim-signed-common into the
ring-0 Proxmox plan; the step was refused R6 and the kernel step skipped.
It joins HOST_SLOW_RE with shim and GRUB.
Red-proved: TestCollectBackups_SavedSuccessSurvivesARestart,
TestR894_LastKnownBackupsIsWiredIntoTheDaemon,
test_ring0_pending_pve_leaves_the_secure_boot_meta_out.

Wrapper layer kernel (stage / reboot / boot / good / revert / cancel / status;
R20-R23), the two GRUB generators in the bundle (option C on the one-shot
entry), the agent's night step and after-boot judge (host health rule + hub
reached, 20 min measured), the signed os_kernel_step (stage only).
Red-proofs: felhom.eu audits/kernel-lane-2026-10-07/A/redproof.txt.

The wrapper gains layer "pve" (slow lane): the host's Proxmox userspace
packages only — origin "Proxmox Debian Repository", never a kernel / boot /
firmware / microcode name (R14), no removal, no undo, a new package only from
an allow-list; authority = a signed os_pve_step or the root-owned ring-0 mark.
The night leg runs it in ring 0 after a healthy host step; ring 1 only by a
signed job (PVEStepExecutor). While it runs, the agent's own /etc/pve writes
(every non-GET API call, pct config verbs, pvesm, pveum, felhom-pbs-apply)
wait on internal/pvegate. Health = the host rule + unchanged container ids +
pveversion reads the installed pve-manager.

An unreadable storage right after an agent restart read the off-site tier
DUE (the in-memory record was empty). The newest success per tier is now
kept on disk and read ONLY when the storage cannot be read: fresh -> not
due, older than the cadence -> due, none -> due (unknown) as before. A
storage that answers stays the ground truth.
Ships with v0.150.0 after the 2026-10-07 read-back; nothing delivered.

felhom-os-apply: a docker-layer apply runs oom_check() after health_after and reports
"oom_check": {result pass|fail|error, oom_killed, oom_event, exit_code, image, detail}.
One throwaway container (the controller's image, --pull never, --network none, 64m cap,
label felhom.oomcheck=1) runs dd bs=200M; pass only with OOMKilled=true AND the oom event
(read after a 2 s settle, --until = guest epoch + 1: measured on demo-hp, an --until taken
right after the run missed the event). docker rm -f always runs in a finally; every call
is bounded (<= 90 s). It never changes the step's outcome or health. New wrapper-only mode
"oom-check" (docker layer) runs the check alone; check_guest etc. still apply.
Agent: WrapperReport/Report gain OOMCheck (json:"oom_check"), copied unchanged in runLayer
and in the kept-copy path.
Tests: 9 wrapper tests + 2 Go tests, each red-proofed (audits/readback-2026-10-07/F/red-*.txt).
Also: test_felhom_os_apply.py's `if __name__` sat mid-file, so 11 tests (UnsentReport,
SaveReportOnDisk, AgentDiesMidPass, CrashLeftTheJournal) never ran as a script or from
TestWrapperSuite; moved to the end (they pass).

The controller waits ~15 minutes with app mails after a crash boot of the host; it learns of the
crash boot from this route. Reads /var/lib/felhom-crash-guard/state.json (read-only, no Proxmox call)
and passes present/last_boot_at/last_boot_unclean/tripped through; a missing, unreadable or garbled
file answers 200 present:false. Guest-token authed like every sibling route.

Operator ruling 09 §3 decision 139. One exact sudoers rule FELHOM_FSTRIM

After mkfs the agent re-resolves the bound durable id, requires it to name the
device it just formatted, reads the superblock back (blkid -p, requested fstype)
and returns fs_uuid in POST /disks/format and GET /disks/format/status. Anything
unverified returns "" — never a path-resolved guess. The controller half
(mount fs_uuid instead of re-resolving the UUID from the /dev path) is owed
in felhom-controller.

A hand-built proof binary and the published artifact share a version string
but not their bytes, so no version check could see the divergence. The agent
now reports agent_sha256 (hash of /proc/self/exe, once per process; empty =
unknown) beside agent_version, the same mechanism as host.wrapper_sha256.
The hub half (compare against the vouched agent_sha256, surface drift) is
owed in the hub repo.

felhom-os-apply gains mode 'bundle' (signed, verified by the wrapper itself against the root-owned
signers file — or, when that file is missing, only the installer's pinned key, which it then creates)
and --install-bundle (the installer's root entry). BUNDLE_FILES is the one table of paths; every check
(visudo, sh/bash -n, python, unit sections, RuntimeDirectory guard, nft -c, the route itself) runs
before the first write; a failed write or self-check puts every previous copy back. The trust root is
never a bundle path (R17). scripts/build-config-bundle.py builds it reproducibly; release-agent.sh
publishes it beside the binary. The agent reports the bundle record in system.config_bundle.
felhom-opsign signs agent_config_update. 43 wrapper tests (22 mutants red), Go executor tests.

PVE answers 403 permission denied, not "does not exist", for a vmid outside the felhom pool;
v0.136.0 turned that into a lookup failure and the local tier read UNKNOWN every evaluation
(measured on demo-hp). Such an archive is skipped. Red-proofed; verified read-only on demo-hp

Measured on demo-hp right after v0.135.0: with the golden skipped the pick fell to a leftover

Space preflight before anything is created (uncompressed size from the vzdump log / PBS
snapshot, x1.2 + 5 GiB, thin metadata, off the tested guest's pool when another storage
is eligible, unknown refuses, reported as a non-pass result). Failed scratch teardown and
the stale-lock sweep retried every 10 min (the sweep under the heavy-op gate). A thin
pool crossing 90% requests an immediate host report. Six red-proofs.
